Macomb Gardens and Greenspaces, a hardcover coffee table book exploring the best flora and foliage Macomb County, Michigan has to offer, is currently seeking entry-level freelance photographers!
Now accepting applications from local Macomb County students seeking to build their professional photography portfolio.
Freelancers Can Expect
$15 per interview
Most interviews take between 30-60 minutes. While I’m chatting with the gardener, you’re snapping pics! Paid daily via check, this is a fun way to earn a little extra spending money.
Low Stress Schedules
Freelancers should be available for 4 - 10 hours a week. These interviews take place primarily on weekends between 10AM and 6PM, with occasional weekday slots popping up.
Brag-Worthy Portfolio
Freelancers will see their images printed in a coffee table book and digital channels with full credit given. It’s a great way to build and/or diversify your creative portfolio.
Clear Expectations
I’ll walk freelancers through the types of shots I’m looking for. A blend of highly detailed close-ups to garden “hero” shots, and more.
Friendly Atmosphere
Plant people are friendly and generous by nature. This is a low-stress environment and honest effort goes a long way.
Potential Future Work
The author has ideas germinating for future creative projects around Macomb County. Successful, reliable freelancers can expect a call when those seeds begin to bloom.
